Since winning the national championship with Michigan, Jim Harbaugh has had two known meetings. The Wolverines head coach has met with the LA Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons apparently are more than interested in Harbaugh. According to Tom Pelissero, the Falcons have scheduled a second meeting with Harbaugh and it’s supposed to take place sometime next week.

Since New England Patriots and legendary coach Bill Belichick departed, it’s been rumored that owner Arthur Blank really wanted to land Belichick and the two sides had mutual interest. Belichick has been in Atlanta taking meetings and has had a couple of interviews himself for the Atlanta job.

So either the Falcons are using Harbaugh to make Belichick make a swift decision, or Atlanta is seriously interested in what Harbaugh brings to the table. Harbaugh himself could also use a second meeting as leverage in getting what he wants from Michigan or even an NFL team like the Chargers.

Harbaugh has had success in the NFL. He coached four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014 before taking the Michigan job. Harbaugh went 44-19-1 during his time with the 49ers and he took them to the Super Bowl before losing to the Baltimore Ravens.

Harbaugh has had success wherever he’s coached and it’s no shock that NFL teams are looking to land him.
