Who we are
Winged Helmet Media began as a social media fan page back in 2017, and has since developed into a credentialed news outlet covering Michigan Athletics. Our various social media platforms reach over 7 million readers each month on average, and our goal is to provide Michigan fans with unique content through articles, photography, and video work.

Chris is the owner and creator of Winged Helmet Media LLC, a media outlet that began back in the summer of 2017. Since that time, the social media following for Winged Helmet Media has grown to over 100,000 followers across three platforms, and reaches an average of over 7 million readers each month. Chris has been a credentialed member of the Michigan media since 2021, and he officially launched his own publication (WingedHelmetMedia.com) in January of 2024.
During his three-plus years of covering the Michigan Football program, Chris has taken on the role of writer, photographer, and business development. He’s had the privilege of conducting sit-down interviews with several marquee players, negotiated NIL deals for members of the football program, and raised over $10,000 for local charities – including nearly $8,000 for various programs at CS Mott Children’s Hospital.
