Red Oak (TX) 2025 wide receiver, Taz Williams Jr., has set a commitment date for July 13. He will decide between Michigan, Penn State, SMU, and Texas A&M.

The shifty 5-foot-11 receiver is a Composite four-star prospect. He is ranked as the 293rd prospect in the class and the 36th-ranked receiver. Williams Jr. has been to Ann Arbor twice so far and is set to take an official visit on June 21. He’s been to SMU the most out of any college — five times in total.

On top of being a coveted wide receiver, Williams Jr. is also a track star. He ran a 22.09-second 200-meter race in his junior season. On the gridiron, he caught 80 passes for 1,251 yards, and 15 touchdowns in 2023 for Red Oak.

There aren’t currently any predictions on 247Sports indicating where he may go, but over on On3, Michigan has been the presumed leader for a while. The Wolverines have a 67.5% chance to land Williams Jr. Chad Simmons, On3’s Director of Recruiting, has logged a prediction for Michigan to land Williams Jr.

Michigan still has five commitments in the 2025 class as of this writing. The Wolverines do not have any receivers committed to them as of now, and Michigan brought in two WRs in the 2024 class.
