There’s a very strong argument to be made that Team 144 is the greatest Michigan Football team of all-time. The 2023 squad set a single-season program record of 15 wins (15-0 overall) en route to claiming a third straight win over Ohio State, third consecutive Big Ten Championship, and the 2024 CFP National Championship.
While it’s abundantly clear that those who were a part of that 2023 National Championship team made the right decision by coming to Michigan, there was once a time where those same guys were just young recruits who were exploring their options by taking various recruiting visits.
Now that some of those legendary Wolverines have completed their careers in Ann Arbor and are now off to the NFL, we thought it would be interesting to take a look back at some of the old recruiting photos – along with potential decisions that could have resulted in an alternate reality that fortunately doesn’t exist.
