It’s hard to imagine Tom Brady becoming anything other than the greatest NFL quarterback of all-time, but there was definitely a time where a lengthy NFL career – or even a shot at playing in the league – wasn’t a sure thing for the GOAT.
Upon graduating from the University of Michigan, Brady had to explore all possibilities, including the possibility that he wouldn’t be playing football at the professional level. As a result, he needed a resume highlighting all of his experience during his time at Michigan – and that resume recently resurfaced on social media.
Brady’s work experience during his time at Michigan included a Park Security Manager, a Supervisor of a custom home building business, and a Sales Representative for two local golf courses – including the University of Michigan Golf Course.
Under “additional experience,” Brady notes that he was elected team captain of the 1999 Michigan Football team, that he guided the Wolverines to the 1998 Big Ten Championship and post season victory, and that he was a member of the 1997 National Championship winning team. He also mentioned his time spent visiting C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, along with being a peer mentor and frequent speaker at local elementary schools throughout the area.
As fate would have it, Brady wouldn’t need to rely on his resume off the field – as he was selected No. 199 overall in the sixth round by the New England Patriots.
I think we all know what happened from there.
