As the 2024 college football season approaches, we know a few times already for when the Wolverines will take the field. Michigan opens the season against Fresno State under the lights at 7:30 p.m. on NBC. The following week, Michigan hosts Texas on Fox for Big Noon Saturday. ‘The Game’ against Ohio State will air on Fox at Noon as usual.
We now know a fourth time — another big one.
On Sept. 21 Michigan will host a new Big-Ten school, USC. The Trojans and Wolverines will play at 3:30 p.m. and the game will air on CBS.
Michigan is 4-6 all-time against USC. The Wolverines have lost the last two meetings to the Trojans — the last meeting being in 2003. The last time USC came to Ann Arbor was way back in 1958 when Michigan won 20-19.
Both Michigan and USC will be breaking in a new QB this season. The Wolverines lost J.J. McCarthy to the NFL Draft, and USC will be without former Heisman winner Caleb Williams.
It’s also worth noting, the Big Ten Championship is airing on CBS this season, instead of Fox.
