With all the coaching changes, additions, and transfer portal chatter — the status of quarterback Jack Tuttle has somewhat been swept under the rug.

But on Saturday evening, Tuttle posted a video and reports have confirmed that Tuttle has been granted a seventh-year of eligibility to head back to Michigan for his second year.

Most of the quarterback talk has been centered around Alex Orji, Jayden Denegal, and true freshman Jadyn Davis. But now with Tuttle coming back to town, he will also be competing for the starting quarterback role in 2024.

In 2023, Tuttle completed 15 of 17 attempts for 130 yards and a score. When he got his opportunity during mop up duty, Tuttle looked like he did a good job moving the offense and commanding respect. At the very least, Tuttle will add a much needed veteran status in the quarterback room that is mostly filled with young, inexperienced players.

Tuttle spent four seasons with Indiana before coming to Ann Arbor last season.
