According to 247Sports Matt Zenitz, former Michigan football wide receiver Roy Roundtree is expected to become the new wide receivers coach at Miami (OH).

Roundtree has coached with Michigan as a Graduate Assistant, coached at Grand Valley State, and most recently was the wide receivers coach at McNeese State. He spent two seasons with Grand Valley State, and one season at McNeese State.

Roundtree is now an ascending coach in the college ranks.

The Trotwood (OH) native played at Michigan from 2009-2012 and was one of the bright spots during a bad time in Wolverines’ history. During his four-year career in Ann Arbor, Roundtree caught for 2,304 yards and 15 touchdowns.

He will always be remembered for catching the game-winning touchdown pass from Denard Robinson during the ‘Under The Lights’ game against Notre Dame in 2011. With eight seconds to go in the fourth quarter, Roundtree caught a lob in the endzone to defeat the Fighting Irish during the first night game in the Big House.
