Brian Jean-Mary is back at Michigan for his second stint with the Wolverines. Although he hasn’t been officially introduced by the Michigan football program, you can find Jean-Mary in the Michigan staff directory — so it’s offical.

Since coming back to Michigan, Jean-Mary is already using his recruiting tools and hitting the trail the for the Wolverines. On Wednesday, Jean-Mary and the Wolverines offered 2025 linebacker, Ty Jackson.

Jackson, a 6-foot 205-pound linebacker, hails from Loxahatchee (FL) Seminole Ridge. According to both ESPN and On3, Jackson is the top-ranked LB in the 2025 class — no wonder Jean-Mary wanted to get in quick and offer the rising senior.

Looking closely at the Composite rankings, Jackson is the 68th-ranked recruit in the ’25 class and the No. 9 linebacker overall.

In three high school seasons, Jackson has made 106 tackles (2021), 137 tackles (2022), and 135 tackles (2023). He has already made the 2024 247 Sports’ All-Combine Team at the National Combine.

If Michigan and Jean-Mary could land a player like Jackson, it wouldn’t be the first time Jean-Mary has landed big players. The 48-year old coach has been a terrific recruiter through the years. When he was with Texas, before Michigan, he single handedly brought in five-star Malik Jefferson back in 2015. Jean-Mary was also in on big four-star recruits that committed to both Texas and most recently Tennessee.

To say the Wolverines getting Jean-Mary back was big might be an understatement. He has significant ties down south in Florida and he has great reach in Texas where he coached for several years.
