According to Michigan basketball insider, Davis Moseley, Dusty May and the Wolverines are set to hold an in-house visit with Yale transfer Danny Wolf.
Wolf, a 7-foot center, is one of the Wolverines top targets in the transfer portal. Wolf is listed as the No. 15 overall transfer player according to 247Sports’ transfer rankings. He just wrapped up his sophomore season with Yale.
During his sophomore campaign, Wolf averaged 14.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, while playing over 30 minutes per game. Wolf put up 13 points during Yale’s upset over Auburn in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Yale product made the First-Team All-Ivy League this season and was one of the premier players in the Ivy League. Wolf is from Illinois and has some Midwest ties. Wolf played in the 2023 FIBA Under-20 European Championships with Team Israel. He helped them win the Silver medal and was named to the tournament’s All Star Five team. He averaged 17.7 points and 12 rebounds during his run with Israel.
May has been in contact with several transfer targets, and while Michigan hasn’t landed any yet, we would expect things to start taking shape soon. The Wolverines only have one current commitment in the 2024 recruiting class and Michigan’s current roster is extremely thin. May will have quite a few scholarships to hand out and could have some major talent to hand them out to.
