The Michigan football spring game is slated to be held on Saturday April 20th. The game will take place in the Big House and it will air on FOX at Noon.

What better way to get ready for the Wolverines’ spring game than a fun fantasy draft? That’s exactly what we did. Chris Breiler and Trent Knoop of the Winged Helmet held our first fantasy draft. Our rosters — which you can see at the bottom — consist of the following positions: (2) QBs, (2) RBs, (4) pass catchers), (4) D-Line, (3) LBs, (6) DBs, and (1) K.

The point of doing this wasn’t exactly to build the best roster. This draft will be scored, so we had to think of which Michigan players might score the most points for our respective teams. Some of the major Michigan stars may not play a ton of April 20, so they might not have been drafted as high by either of us, or in some cases — not drafted at all.

Here is how the scoring will work:

Passing:

1 point per 25 yards

4 points per TD

-4 points per INT

Rushing:

1 point per 10 yards

6 points per TD

-4 points per fumble

Receiving:

1 point per catch

1 point per 10 yards

6 points per TD

-4 points per fumble

Defensive stats:

1 point per tackle

2 points per sacks

-4 per fumble

Kicking:

1 point per XP made

2 points per FG made

-2 points per miss

Chris won the coin toss and he had the first overall pick. We did a snake draft, so after Chris picked first, Trent had back-to-back picks — so on and so forth.
