A familiar name is making a return to the Michigan Football program, as wide receiver/defensive back Amorion Walker announced on Wednesday that he’s back.

The 6-3, 185-pound wideout turned defensive back transferred from Michigan to Ole Miss shortly after the Wolverines captured the national championship in January. Walker obviously had second thoughts about that decision, because it took just three months for the junior wideout to announce his return to Ann Arbor. Although he wasn’t all that productive during his two seasons at Michigan, there was a growing belief that Walker was on the verge of having a breakout season – particularly when he switched to cornerback heading into the 2023 season.

Given Michigan’s needs at both the wide receiver and cornerback position, it will certainly be interesting to see how head coach Sherrone Moore decides to utilize the unique talent that Walker provides in 2024.
