Michigan football just landed a pair of transfers on Wednesday in Youngstown State WR C.J. Charleston and the Wolverines long-lost friend, Amorion Walker, who had a brief stay with Ole Miss after spending two seasons with Michigan.
But the Wolverines aren’t done looking into the portal to add some more talent. Currently, Michigan has five incoming transfers, but with the Wolverines losing multiple starters to the NFL Draft and depth players to the transfer portal — Sherrone Moore needs to continue to add pieces to fill out the roster.
On Wednesday, Michigan offered Jay’viar Suggs. Suggs is a graduate transfer from Grand Valley State who has two years of eligibility remaining. According to Clayton Sayfie with The Wolverine, Suggs is planning to visit Michigan.

The D-2 DT has a ton of major offers. According to Suggs himself, schools like Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Florida State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Miami, Iowa, and plenty of others are trying to land Suggs.
Suggs, a Flint (MI) native, is a big DT standing at 6-foot-3, 295-pounds. Suggs played two seasons with GVSU and during his two years he tallied 42 tackles, 14.5 TFLs, and eight sacks.
Michigan did lose some depth on the defensive line after losing Kris Jenkins and Came Goode to the NFL. Rayshaun Benny is back, but he is coming off an injury during the 2023 season. The Wolverines return a stout duo in Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, but adding more depth is never a bad thing.
