Michigan has made the final group for California five-star running back, Jordon Davison. The Wolverines will have to contend with Ohio State, Oregon, and Alabama if they want to land the Ohio native.
Davison, a five-star on Rivals, plays his high school football at Santa Ana (CA) Mater Dei. According to the Composite, Davison is a four-star running back and is the 96th-ranked recruit in the 2025 class. He is the No. 7 running back in the cycle.
Michigan has some work to do if it wants to land Davison. There are two Crystal Ball predictions in on 247Sports for Davison to go to Ohio State — by an OSU insider — and the other by a Texas insider. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Buckeyes having an 80% chance to land the California back.
Since hiring Tony Alford, Michigan has been in the mix for several big running backs that the Wolverines weren’t in on before. While getting a recruit like Davison would be huge for the running attack, Michigan fans might want to relax. The Wolverines were supposed to land four-star Marquise Davis — all the signs pointed to Michigan — but he spurned the Wolverines for Kentucky.
Michigan currently has five commitments in the ’25 class.
