With the No. 172 overall pick (fifth round) the Philadelphia Eagles took Michigan offensive lineman, Trevor Keegan. On Saturday, the two became official when the Eagles announced they signed the guard. Keegan is expected to make $4.27-million on his four-year rookie contract with the Eagles.
Keegan will go to Philadelphia, a place that has some rich history with offensive lines. The Eagles do have to replace a starter on the line, and the right guard position is a spot where Keegan could compete for some snaps. The former Wolverine will have to fight for it, but if Keegan could have a strong training camp with the Eagles, he has a chance to carve out a role early.
Keegan knows all about being on great offensive lines. He was a starter on the back-to-back Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line at Michigan in 2021 and 2022. He was a three-time All-Big Ten member and was a team captain in ’23.
During the 2023 season, Keegan had a career-high 80.7 pass-blocking grade, according to PFF. He did not allow a sack in ’23 for the Wolverines.
