Former Michigan football linebacker Obi Ezeh has passed away at the age of 36. The details surrounding Ezeh’s death is not known, but his mother posted on Facebook about the tragic news.

Ezeh came to Michigan from Grand Rapids Catholic as a star linebacker. He spent five seasons at Michigan before becoming an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins. According to MGoBlue, Ezeh played in 50 games during his Michigan career. He made 293 tackles, 19.5 TFLs, three sacks, and intercepted the ball twice.

Ezeh was a four-year letterman at Michigan, an All-Big Ten member, and made the freshman All-American team in 2007.

Before he came to Michigan, Ezeh was a two-way star in college. Playing at running back, Ezeh set the school’s career rushing record with 3,189 yards.
