It wasn’t all that long ago that Paul (Pete) Finebaum was considered public enemy No. 1 in Ann Arbor. His constant criticism of Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Football program, along with his clear SEC bias, made it easy for for the Wolverine faithful to routinely express their hatred for the College Football analyst.

But is it possible that things are starting to change? Is it possible that Michigan fans could not only stop hating Finebaum, but actually come to like the guy in some sick and twisted way? It’s certainly possible after listening to Finebaum’s commentary below regarding Ohio State and, more specifically, head coach Ryan Day.

Finebaum brought on Tim May, a beat reporter who covers Ohio State, for a segment on his show on Friday – and Finebaum didn’t hold back. At times you could tell that May was uncomfortable, at other times he simply had no rebuttal for the constant criticism coming from Finebaum.

Overall, it was a glorious listen – particularly if you’re a Michigan Football fan.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the interview is that May has essentially taken on the mindset of many others who are a part of the Ohio State fan base. He talked about getting “robbed” against Clemson, getting “robbed” against Georgia, and obviously had to place some of the blame on Connor Stalions as well.

I don’t think they’ll be throwing any parties in Ann Arbor for Paul Finebaum anytime soon, but the fact that he’s zeroed in on the shortcomings of Ohio State and Ryan Day certainly make him much more tolerable to listen to.
