Jim Harbaugh didn’t have any tattoos on his body entering the 2023 Michigan football campaign. But he did make a promise to his players that if the Wolverines were to go 15-0 which would result in another Big Ten Championship and a National Championship — he would get some ink.
That’s exactly what the Wolverines did. Michigan would go on to win the whole thing while beating Washington in dominating fashion.
When Harbaugh returned to Ann Arbor before the annual Michigan Spring Game for the ring ceremony, he received a block ‘M’ with 15-0 under it on his right shoulder.
Harbaugh was asked about the tattoo during the Chargers rookie minicamp press conference. Harbaugh proceeded to pull up his sleeve to show off his first tattoo.
“Yeah, it didn’t get — it healed right from the beginning,” exclaimed Harbaugh. “There was no healing process. It was just good to go right from the beginning. Everyone seems to like it. My kids like it, my family likes it. Everybody has been unanimous, 100% support — my kids think it makes me look younger. So I’ll take it.”
While Harbaugh is no longer the Michigan head coach, he will still carry around Wolverines’ attire by having a tattoo on his shoulder. Fans were sad to see Harbaugh leave the program, but not too many individuals love Michigan as much as he does. Harbaugh has always been fascinated with the NFL and had a goal to win a Super Bowl. After winning a national title in college, he will now chase that coveted Super Bowl ring.
