Michigan football will take the field on August 31 against Fresno State in the season opener. The Wolverines are coming off a national title run in which Michigan went a perfect 15-0. All eyes were on the Wolverines during their title run and for a variety of different reasons.

Come to find out, all eyes will be on Michigan once again during its home opener because it’s going to be under the lights. The maize and blue fans will get to check out the 2024 Wolverines in a fun atmosphere.

NBC announced it would be showing Michigan vs. Fresno State at 7:30 p.m.

This will be the first time Michigan will face Fresno State. While the Bulldogs aren’t a big-name team, Fresno State has been a good team. The last two seasons, the Bulldogs have gone 9-4 (2023) and 10-4 (2022).

It was already announced Michigan would host Texas at Noon on Fox in a Week 2 matchup.
