This is certainly not the news you wanted to hear if you’re a Michigan Football fan, especially when it involves a legendary player who was doing great work as a member of the coaching staff in Ann Arbor.
According to a report published by Aaron McMann of MLive, Denard Robinson is no longer employed at Michigan following his OWI arrest last month.
Robinson was suspended by head coach Sherrone Moore back on April 15 following the incident. According to the police report, Robinson was arrested at approximately 3 a.m. after being involved in a single-car accident in Ann Arbor.
With his departure, Robinson is now the second member of Sherrone Moore’s staff to be dismissed following an OWI arrest. The first occurred when former defensive line coach Gregg Scruggs was arrested for a operating a vehicle while intoxicated at 3 a.m. on a Saturday, according to Ann Arbor police.
