Tom Brady is coming back to the NFL, but not as a player. Brady is officially an announcer for Fox and he will debut as a Fox broadcaster with a highly anticipated game.
Brady, who is now Fox’s lead analyst, will be in the booth for the Week 1 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns. Brady will be alongside Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.
Michael Strahan broke the news to Brady during a Fox interview. Brady jokingly has some comments to say about the Cowboys.
“Amazing,” said Brady on finding out his assignment for Week 1. “Obviously, having the Cowboys on is a huge draw as America’s team — that’s going to get a little hard for me to say all the time on air. They were the competition for a long time. But in this new role, I know the Cowboys — how important they are to this network. They have great storylines. Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through — did that just slip out?…. I’ve been playing them for a long time and now I can get to cover them. I get to tell everyone how great they are.”
It will be the first time in five years, Fox will open the season airing the Cowboys.
The former Michigan man has gone down as the GOAT of football. Brady won seven Super Bowls. He played from 2000-19 with the New England Patriots and finished his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2020-22.
Brady was a former sixth-round pick to the Patriots back in the 2000 NFL Draft.
