It was announced last week that Donovan Edwards, along with multiple other college football players, would grace the Deluxe cover of the new NCAA 25 college football video game. Edwards was front and center of that cover — his back turned so you just saw the back of his jersey with his name.

On Wednesday, the Standard Edition cover was leaked and once again, the Michigan running back will be on the cover. Edwards along with Texas QB Quinn Ewers and Colorado’s Swiss Army Knife Travis Hunter.

Rival fanbases were already mad reacting to Edwards being on the Deluxe cover, so you can imagine more hate will be spewed on social media. Edwards, who has backed up Blake Corum the past two years, will finally have his chance as the lead back for the Wolverines in 2024.

Edwards hasn’t shied away from the spotlight. Two years ago, when Corum was injured against Ohio State, Edwards single-handily killed the Buckeyes. Last season in the national title game, Edwards had two huge runs in a win over Washington.

While Edwards has been considered a ‘backup’, it won’t be shocking to see him make a major name for himself in 2024.
