Michigan fans might be receiving good news in the coming days. On3’s Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos have put in a prediction for the Wolverines to land Albany cornerback Aamir Hall.
Hall, a 6-foot-1 CB, was a FCS All-American for the Great Danes in 2023. He recorded 63 tackles, 15 pass breakups, and five INTs for Albany. He helped lead them to the semifinals in the Playoff. Hall spent three seasons playing for Richmond before transferring to Albany last season.
It was reported on Thursday that Hall would be visiting Michigan soon and it appears he could be on campus now after he sent out a tweet earlier on Thursday — before the predictions came in.
With the Wolverines losing both Keon Sabb and DJ Waller Jr. to the portal, Michigan is looking to bolster its secondary room. While Hall isn’t a huge name, he is a very good cornerback who would compete for the starting job alongside Will Johnson right away.
Hall graded out really well by PFF. He had an 85.7 defensive grade and an 88.3 coverage grade. To put it in perspective, Mike Sainristil led Michigan last season with an 85.0 coverage grade.
The Wolverines added Josh Wallace via the portal last year, and Michigan might be adding another big-time contributor in the secondary in back-to-back seasons.
