The hype leading up to the release of EA’s College Football 25 video game is at an all-time high, with an official preview of the game set to be unveiled tomorrow. In the meantime, fans of the game were provided with the official cover art on Thursday – featuring Michigan’s Donovan Edwards, Colorado’s Travis Hunter, and Quinn Ewers of Texas.
Although the standard cover features Edwards as one of three cover athletes, the deluxe edition of the game features Edwards front and center, along with a whole host of other athletes joining him.
With the secret of the cover athletes now revealed, videos have started to surface from the photoshoot itself. Michigan shared their own behind the scenes footage of Donovan Edwards as he took part in the photo shoot in recent days.
As for the release of the game itself, fans will have to wait another two months before they can play the most anticipated sports game in recent memory. EA Sports announced on Thursday that the game is set to be released on July 19, 2024, but fans have already began the process of pre-ordering the game in anticipation of its release.
As for Michigan, the inclusion of Edwards on the cover means that no other program has had more cover athletes in the history of the series than the Wolverines. Edwards joins Charles Woodson, Desmond Howard, and Denard Robinson as the four Wolverines to grace the cover.
