On Thursday evening, Michigan football landed Albany FCS All-American, Aamir Hall to help with the cornerback room.

On Friday morning, the Wolverines landed another commitment. This time, it’s former Tennessee safety Wesley Walker.

Walker has been around since 2019. He played three seasons at Georgia Tech before playing his last two at Tennessee. Walker started 10 games for the Vols last season before missing the final two games with an injury. He transferred to Louisville this past cycle but re-entered the portal and is now at Michigan.

The 6-foot-1 safety registered 53 tackles and two pass breakups in 2023 in the Tennessee secondary. He has one career INT in his five seasons of collegiate football.

Walker had a 70.5 defensive grade with a 75.0 coverage grade, according to PFF, in 2023. He was primarily a free safety with the Vols lining up for 399 snaps. He allowed zero TDs last season.

Walker will bring a veteran presence to the Michigan locker room and should battle for major playing time right away with Rod Moore out for the foreseeable future.
