It’s starting to feel like things are starting to turn for Michigan football in the recruiting department. Not only are the Wolverines landing whomever they want in the transfer portal — as it feels — in recent days, but Michigan has some major visitors coming to Ann Arbor and the Wolverines are making final groups for big-time players.
You can add 2025 offensive lineman Michael Carroll to the list. The Doylestown (PA) Central Bucks East native announced his final four that included Michigan. The Wolverines will battle it out with Penn State, Georgia, and Alabama.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound lineman is considered the 216th-ranked prospect in the 2025 cycle and the No. 8 player in the state of PA. Carroll is set to take a visit to Michigan on June 21. Carroll has visited Michigan four times prior and has high interest in the Wolverines.
The presumable favorite to land Carroll is the home-state Nittany Lions. While there aren’t any predictions in on either 247Sports or On3, Penn State has a 29.3% chance to land Carroll, according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine. Michigan is in second place with 20%.
With as much success as Michigan has had in recent years developing linemen, it’s not a shock to see the Wolverines as real players in the mix for Carroll.
