The Michigan Wolverines are definitely losing a lot of major contributors to the NFL Draft following their national championship season, but there is plenty of returning talent to be optimistic about – particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
Up front, Kenneth Grant and Mason Graham – two of the most dominant defensive lineman in the country – will serve as the anchor pieces in what should be another top-five unit for defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. Michigan also gets back veteran safeties Rod Moore and Makari Paige, along with arguably the best corner in the country in Will Johnson. Top to bottom, this defensive unit is certainly good enough to help deliver a fourth consecutive Big Ten Championship in 2024.
